What do I need in order to get a certificate?

To use an SSL certificate, you will need a domain pointing to a server or web hosting package. You will also need an admin email address (for example, [email protected]) or a catch-all email address that can accept emails from Hostit and our Certification provider. If you are purchasing an Extended Verification SSL Certificate, an investigation of the organisation purchasing the certificate is required. This can take a number of weeks for your certificate to be processed and issued.
